Setting up your WHMCS to display product prices in BTC has limited pricing options, as product prices can only be set to 2 decimal places, whereas Bitcoin typically uses 8 decimal places. To allow for a better pricing range, we can use mBTC instead. Simply put 1mBTC = 0.001 BTC.
Let's find out how to set mBTC as the store currency in WHMCS using Blockonomics.
Changing the WHMCS base currency to mBTC
Before proceeding with the following steps, make sure to update the Blockonomics payment gateway to the latest version here.
- On the header menu of WHMCS, hover over the wrench icon. From its down-drop menu, click on System Settings.
On the System Settings page, search for Payment Gateways or simply scroll down until you find this option.
On the Payment Gateways page, select Currencies from the sidebar menu. - On the Currencies page, click on the Edit icon to edit the base currency.
- Change the Currency Code to mBTC, remove the Prefix, change the Suffix to mBTC, check Update Pricing and click on Save Changes.
