Changing phrases on your website should be easy and seamless. Many businesses want to edit strings or change the translation of strings into a specific language. It’s now possible, and we are doing our part to make it easier for businesses to better reach their target audience.
By following the steps below, you'll be able to change any string in the Blockonomics plugin.
- Install and activate the Loco Translate plugin: Loco Translate makes it possible to adapt any string or change the translation of string into a specific language. Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin and choose the zip file, then click on Install Now.
Click on Activate Plugin to make it active. - Navigate to the Blockonomics plugin within the Loco Translate plugin: once the Loco Translate plugin is installed and activated, a new entry will be added to the WordPress admin side menu, called Loco Translate. Navigate to Loco Translate > Plugin > WordPress Bitcoin Payments - Blockonomics.
- Create a template: before you can start adding translations, you need to first create a template. When you have reached the WordPress Bitcoin Payments - Blockonomics page, you should click on the Create Template button.
You will be led to a new page. On the New template file page press the Create template button.
You'll should be led back to the WordPress Bitcoin Payments - Blockonomics page and see the message “OK: Template file created”.
- Add new language: you'll have reached the WordPress Bitcoin Payments - Blockonomics page again. This time around, you should click the New language button.
Under the section Choose a language, you can either select the original language of the website if you want to keep the language, but change the wording of a phrase. If you want to translate the Blockonomics plugin to another language, you can go ahead and select your target one.
Under Choose a location, it’s recommended that choose Custom and not Author. Otherwise, the file might be overwritten by an automatic update. Once you are done setting it up, press the Start translating button. - Start translating: find the string that you want to translate and select it. The phrase should then appear in the Source text box. Go ahead and type your new rendition in the translation box. Once you have changed the strings, click Save button on the left. If you want to undo it, simply delete what's in the translation box and save changes again.
