If you are getting "Unknown Bitcoin Address: Please use checkout/generate order on store to get a bitcoin address" error on Logs/Test Bench Page in merchants dashboard, like shown below, then this article is for you.
Why Am I seeing this error?
Using Test Bench you can only send test payments to address generated by blockonomics system. This error indicated that the "Bitcoin Address" entered in Test Payment is not what Test Bench was expecting. This could be because of following reasons:
- The bitcoin address is not generated from Blockonomics Plugins or Payment Button/Order page.
- Wrong store is selected.

- First, make sure that you have a Destination wallet configured in Wallet Tab.
- Create a Product in Payment Buttons Tab in Merchants Dashboard. If you have already created a product, you can skip this step.
- Once you have created a product, click on Generate URL button to get a URL for this product.
- Open this URL in new Tab. Let's assume we are visiting this URL as a user/customer. Enter required information for product and click on Pay button.
- Once you click on Pay button, you will see the payment details.
- Copy this Amount and Bitcoin Address and paste it in Test Bench against wallet connected to this Payment Button. Please Make sure to use correct store i.e. connected wallet. Once you enter valid details, click on "Test Payment".
- The Payment Button URL will assume that a Bitcoin payment is made to this address and show a page saying that their order has been received. This is how this Product Button page will appear to a customer when they have actually made a payment.
By coping correct address and selecting correct store we have made sure that we don't get "Unknown Bitcoin Address" error.
